12 Instagram Recommendations You Didn't Know

Use these useful little features to enhance your Instagram experience
Instagram has undergone a lot of changes in the last few years and it has become one of the most popular social networks. Recently, a story feature like Snapchat has completely changed the way Instagram users share content and engage with their followers.

Instagram is a simple and beautiful app where you can take pictures with vintage filters. Today, the app has all the hidden features that aren’t open to exploration through easy-to-use apps.
Do you use these features? Check out the list below.

Automatic filtering of incorrect comments.

Let’s face it - we all know there’s a troll problem on Instagram. Just pay attention to Buy Instagram followers UK and get likes and followers more than 1,000 followers.
Instagram allows users to hide inappropriate comments by filtering out some personalized keywords. To use this feature, go to your user settings in your profile, scroll down with your options, and click "Comments" in the Settings section.

Pause, flip back, move fast forward, and move the stories.

The stories are still very new and like Snapchat, they are going to end in a matter of seconds. If we turn your head a second or out of the zone while watching the story, the content may be lost.
There are some good solutions for you to watch a happy story again. Tap and hold to pause the story. To return a story, tap the top left of the screen (under the user profile picture and username). Tap the screen to move forward with the many stories of users. And swipe left to skip all user stories.

Disable the stories of specific users you use.

A lot of users on Instagram follow the actions of hundreds (perhaps thousands) of users, and it’s hard to find the stories they need to watch. But what if you don’t want to keep track of users who aren’t interested in their stories?
Instagram allows you to turn off any user’s stories that aren’t interesting, so they won’t show up in your story. Just watch and hold the thumbnail image of any user in the story stream and select “Mute” from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen. It simply loses their bubble and pushes you to the end of the speech, which you can go and open at any time you want.

Just allow messages in the stories from your returning followers.

By default, Instagram allows all your followers to reply to your stories. If you have a very popular account and don’t want to be bombarded with a flood of messages from multiple strangers, you can change this setting.
Access your user settings from your profile and select "Story Settings" in the Account section. Here you can reply to your messages only from returning followers.

Hide your stories from certain users.

When you’re in your story settings, you can think of any users who don’t want to see your stories. If your Instagram account is open, it will go to your profile and if your profile touches your photo - everyone can see your story, even if they don’t follow you.
Similarly, there may be some simple searchers who won’t follow you for your regular posts, but won’t let you see your stories. Use the story settings to enter the names of the users you want to hide your stories from.
You can also hide a story from each user in your profile by tapping the three dots in the right corner of your profile and then selecting “Hide your story” from the drop-down menu.

Open Boomerang or Layout from Instagram.

Boomerang and Layout are two apps on Instagram that you can download for free and use to enhance your photo. Boomerang allows you to create a GIF-like post with short, subtle movements (but without sound), Layout allows you to combine multiple photos as a collage.
If you’ve downloaded these apps on your device, you can get them instantly from Instagram.
When you click the camera tab on Instagram to upload a new photo or video from your library, the bottom Boomerang icon (similar to the infinite icon) and the Layout icon ( similar to a collage ) in the lower right corner of the location icon fill you in if you touch them. leads directly to one of these applications.

Sort the filters to put what you like first.

There are currently 23 filters to choose from on Instagram. Most users tend to only support a couple, and it can be a pain to have to go through filters to find your favorite things when you’re in a hurry to write something down.
You can sort the filter so that the ones you use the most are right for you at the beginning of the filter selection. Scroll to the very end of the filter menu and tap the "Control]" box that appears at the end. You can hide some filters before you check them out, or you can drag and drop your favorite ones up.

Enable post notifications for messages from specific users.

As Instagram shook up the main meal, everyone’s posts were no longer displayed when they were posted, rather than offering a more personalized dining experience, with users going nuts to telling their followers to open their notifications.
So, if Instagram decides not to show the messages of the user you want to see, you can set something to get notifications to prevent anything from being lost.
To enable sent notifications, tap the three dots in the top right corner or profile of any user’s post and select “Enable Post Notifications”.

Share a message by sending a message directly to one or more users.

When your friends came to report other user posts they wanted to see, the general idea was to comment on their thoughts. Your friend will receive a notification that they have sent a message in the mail so they can check it out.
The problem with this trend is that friends who get a lot of interest and feedback and followers may not see you tagging them in the post you want to see them. If you want to grow followers fast, you can buy Instagram Followers to get more followers in less time and keep thriving.
A better way to share someone else’s post with others is by texting them directly, which means clicking the arrow button at the bottom of any post and sending it. can be done by selecting a friend or friends.

Switch from profile to business profile.

As with Facebook pages, Instagram has profiles for businesses that intend to market and engage with their audience. If you use a regular Instagram profile to market your business or organization, you don’t have to create a completely new account - you can immediately change it to a business account.
Access your user settings from your profile and tap "Switch to Operation Mode" in the "Accounts" section. (If your profile is popular, you can do that). The work account puts a contact button at the top of your profile and gives you access to analytics so you can see exactly how Instagram marketing is paying.

Check out a feed of previously liked posts.

One of Instagram’s main interactive features is, of course, the heart button. Click on that heart (or double-click the post) to see if you like the poster. But what if you want to go back to a post that interests you later and can’t remember where to find it?
Unlike other social networks that have specific sections located on a user profile where you can display similar posts on Instagram, however, you can access them if you are know-how. Learn how to get more Instagram Followers.

Zoom in on the message for a closer look.

Instagram is mostly used on mobile devices and sometimes these small screens don’t do photos and videos fairly. Instagram had recently decided to introduce a zoom feature for the posts we wanted to review.
Squeeze the thumb and forefinger of the post you want to zoom in on and enlarge them on the screen. You can also do this to zoom in on Boomerang notes and videos.

Best day to post on Instagram

Is there a superior time of day to post on Instagram so your photographs and recordings to get Instagram followers, likes, views, auto likes, and comments.
It very well may be somewhat difficult to envision. First, because Instagram was initially accessible primarily through a mobile device, they can quickly browse them on Instagram at any time. The habits of posting, viewing and interacting on Instagram are quite different compared to other social networks, which makes it a bit difficult to identify the most active participants of the users.

What does Instagram algorithm and time mean?

Instagram is now starting to repost users ’posts because it’s more about what they want to see first, rather than showing the next latest posts when they’re posted.
This algorithm means that you write something at a certain time, and no matter how many or how many of your followers, or perhaps your followers, interact with your content, no matter how much and how little you interact with them.
Thus, interactions are likely to have a timely character, no matter how the current messages affect the diet - probably not the same as before the spread of the algorithm.

What to discuss first

To determine your best time to post on Instagram, first, consider two key factors that influence:
Your target audience demographics: Adults who typically do 9 to 5 jobs may be more likely to look at Instagram in the morning, but college students who stay up late and take night classes may be a little more active on Instagram. hour. Determining your target audience can be the first step in determining what time of day you want to check out on Instagram.
Time Zone Differences: If you have a worldwide audience or target audience, then posting at certain times of the day may not get you the same results as your followers who live in the same time zone. For instance, if the greater part of your supporters is from North America, who live in the average North American time zones of the Pacific (PST), Mountain (MST), Central (CST), and East (EST), you can start the experiment by starting printing. On Instagram, stop around 7 EST and 9 PST (or midnight EST).
Pattern patterns you see: Be sure to look carefully for any increase in noise when placed at certain times of the day. No matter what the research says, or what the experts tell you about publishing acceptable dates and dates, the behavior of your followers is important.

What does the research say about posting on Instagram at certain times?

According to TrackMaven, in 2013, according to a habit of exploring the Instagram app for posts produced by Fortune 500 companies, TrackMaven was unable to determine when the messages running on Instagram were inaccurate. Setting a specific time to print posts did not differ much in terms of target results.
According to the later (former Latergramme): Analysis of 61,000 posts was between 2015 and the best days between 2:00 and 17:00, and Wednesday was the best day (next Thursday). The meeting dropped significantly at 9:00 and 18:00
According to Mavrck: Mavrck, after analyzing 1.3 million posts, announced in a 2015 report that midnight was the most popular times at 3 pm and 4 pm. Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays were the most popular days. Placing posts between 6:00 and 12:00 when times are low can be trusted to your advantage, as users are still considering their meals.
Hubspot: Using data gathered from a variety of sources, Hubspot posted an infographic in early 2016 that featured the best time on Instagram on Mondays or Thursdays at any time from 3 pm to 4 pm (probably as Mavrck pointed out above). , when the largest influx of post-Soviets occurs). It does its best when videos are posted between 9 pm and 8 am. Unfortunately, for some posters, it is 2:00, 17:00 and until 7:00 on Wednesdays.

Try the time interval

Despite these different findings, it works best for you before you experiment and observe the results of the experiment. Again, it depends on your target audience and how you use Instagram to connect with your followers.
You can start by experimenting with the following time interval in your time zone to post on Instagram:
§  7.00 - 9:00 in the morning hours of the morning for a good time, because everyone is just waking up. What most people miss when they check their cell phones and fall asleep. However, after 9:00, you may get a little dropped depending on your regular work and school hours.
§  Wednesday, 11:00 to 14:00 noon will be people to do what they want around the camp; often involves checking social media.
§  5:00 - 7:00 p.m., the school, and the workplace, then people will be able to relax. People can start checking their phones while sitting in transit or front of the TV, before dinnertime time. Be aware that most people can sit in the middle of you (18:00) from early 17:00 to late or 19:00 when you go home from work or for dinner.
§  Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays appear to be at the highest levels, according to the above research sources. Keep track of the number of likes and comments you receive at each time interval and make adjustments as needed.

Send video after work/school hours

Video interactions are slightly different than the photos posted on Instagram. If you want to get more Instagram likes and also many people see your video, upload the video content in the evening or late at night.
When you think about it, it makes sense. Instagram videos can be less unpleasant if viewers are at work or school. People are less likely to watch your video less busy or at home.

Instagram Engagement: how to calculate and how to increase.

This guide is aimed at all those who want to understand what InstagramEngagement is, how to calculate it and why it has become so important.
First some data. Instagram is the  Social Network of the moment. The reasons are to be found in the innovative user and content management system. What does not leave the professionals surprised are the numbers and statistics behind this Social Network. 400 million active users every day.
Want to find out how to earn or be successful on Instagram? Finish the article and you will find my six rules from which to start to create a successful Instagram account.
But now let's start with the explanation of what Instagram Engagement is, how it is calculated, why it is important based on the recent modification of the algorithm.

What is the Instagram Engagement rate? Is it so important?
Instagram Engagement is the statistical data that measures the relationship between you and your followers.
There are a multitude of programs that calculate it for you automatically, but since it is not a difficult calculation, I will shortly show you the formula to calculate it by hand.
As mentioned before, Instagram Engagement is so important because it measures the relationship between the interactions received (likes and comments) on your profile and the number of followers.
It tells you how many people are interested in your content.
For this reason, we always say that the number of followers does not count, because potentially they could all be ghost accounts or fake accounts.
It is therefore the engagement that measures how much you are worth on Instagram, especially in the attentive eyes of companies.

Instagram engagement rate: how is it calculated?
The engagement rate is that percentage numerical value that determines the relationship between the number of followers and the interactions on your photos (or videos).
As said before, the result that results is very important to evaluate the quality of your profile, and for this reason, you must be able to calculate it yourself.
The calculation is very simple, the engagement rate is obtained by adding the interactions (likes and comments) of the last 10 photos, discarding the most recent.
That number must then be divided first by 10 and then by the number of followers. Finally to get the percentage just multiply by one hundred.
To recap:
1. SUM the INTERACTIONS of the last 10 posts discarding the most recent;
2. Divide by 10;
3. Divide by the number of followers;
4. Multiply by 100.
5. You got the engagement rate.
The calculation is very simple, with a calculator you will not be able to take more than 5 minutes but we will also give you an example to make yourself understood even better.

Mario has an Instagram account and wants to calculate your engagement rate:
1. Discarding the most recent photo he posted, the sum of the interactions (like memory + comments) of his last 10 photos is equal to 15,000;
2. Now divide 15,000 by 10 and the result is 1,500 ( 15,000 / 10 = 1500 );
3. Since Mario has 45,000 followers, he must now divide 1,500 by 45,000 and the result is 0.033 (1,500 / 45,000 = 0.033);
4. Now multiply 0.033 by 100, in order to get a percentage, the result is 3.33% (0.033 * 100 = 3.33%)
5. Mario has an engagement rate of 3.33%

Now we know what engagement is, why it is so important and how to calculate it. Now the time has come to interpret it.

What is the ideal percentage of engagement?
Establishing the ideal engagement percentage is complex because it depends on many factors, for example, the niche, how long you don't publish, the strategy used, etc.
There is no "exact" engagement rate, below I show you two photos: the first indicates the average engagement rate on Instagram.

If your account is above this threshold, it means that you are doing a good job, otherwise, if it is below you should try to understand why.
If you need a hand, we at altavisibility.net can help you improve your Instagram profile, write us an e-mail (below you will find the address) for a consultation.
The second photo instead indicates the engagement rate of some famous profiles on Instagram.

The higher the number of followers, the lower the engagement. You will also have the best content in the world but this is a fact.

Modify Instagram algorithm end 2019: why has engagement become so important?
The recent modification of the Instagram algorithm has given even more importance to the engagement precisely to reward those who have a good connection with their followers.
But how has the algorithm been changed?
The algorithm has been modified in such a way as to reward with a greater number of Impressions those users who in the first 3 hours reach a certain threshold of interactions (likes + comments) on their photo.
Everything depends on the number of followers and engagement
The exact threshold remains a secret in the Instagram algorithm, what is certain is that the first 3 hours of the life of the photo are extremely important.
So here are some tips to optimize the life of your content:
·          Publish in the most correct time for your profile type.
·          Sponsorship the publication of your new photo on Instagram Stories.
·          Put the tags on the various most popular pages related to your niche.
·          Choose the right hashtags.

Before continuing reading, I wish to be informed that for some years, I have been offering an Instagram profile growth service, with help in creating a niche account, increasing target followers and increasing the engagement rate. I accompany the customer step-by-step towards the realization of his goal. This service has allowed dozens of companies and influencers to get the most out of the social network of the moment. Click here if you are interested in the Instagram profile improvement service.

What trends & opportunities on Instagram in 2020?

Are you wondering what Instagram might look like in the weeks and months to come?

At the end of 2020, I invite you to come back to all the features, trends, and opportunities that could well have a strong impact on your communication strategy on Instagram.
1) Stories always more interactive
By far, Instagram Stories are the feature that has seen the newest in 2020, incorporating additional creative tools, fonts, and stickers for businesses.
So what will happen in 2019?
As Facebook and YouTube have recently rolled out their Stories features, it is essential for the Instagram social network to always be one step ahead at this level. It could be interesting to propose multiple choice questions or the possibility of commenting on Stories in a public way.
With the launch of playable ads on Facebook, it may soon be possible to offer gamification experiences to subscribers, such as lotteries or bots.
2) Increasingly comprehensive Instagram performance statistics
Tracking and measuring Instagram statistics has always been extremely important. However, as the social network becomes more and more a business platform, the need for a more developed analytical solution arises.
In the same way as on Facebook and its advanced video statistics module, it would be interesting to know more about content on:
  • the average viewing time
  • the average viewing percentage
  • the number of minutes viewed
  • the number of views of 3 seconds
It would also be interesting if Instagram offered a better view of the number of subscribers gained since the last 30 days, and not just the last week
3) Towards the take-off of the use of Instagram TV
Announced and launched as the first independent video the platform from Instagram, IGTV caused a lot of attention. Unfortunately, even by giving companies a whole new space to host longer videos, the adoption of this novelty did not meet the expected success’s
However, this could change in 2019 if the network makes the necessary efforts to improve the referencing of videos in the "Explore" section by taking into account the keywords present.
4) From "perfect" to "authentic"
As more and more people use Instagram to search for new businesses and products, it becomes extremely important to optimize your profile for sales, gain followers and more brand awareness.
And one of the best ways to do this is to offer a consistent and unique aesthetic to your brand.
In 2018, companies worked a lot on the aspect of their publication flow, which will also be the case for the coming months. However, a turning point could be made from "perfect" to "authentic".
Users are starting to get used to the slightly too nickel-pleasing aspect of publications, rather than wanting content on which they can identify and interact. Buy Instagram Followers Here is the best option for you to make your Instagram profile more visible.
5) Towards new tools to improve private exchanges between users & brands
Instagram added many features to Instagram Direct in 2020, offering new ways to share and communicate with other users. The year 2019 will likely be rich in innovations on this side.
This year marked the arrival of quick responses for Instagram account managers, saving time when frequently asked questions by subscribers.
In the coming months, new options may arrive inspired by complementary applications such as Snapchat or WhatsApp.
It is interesting to note that at the end of 2020 Instagram rolled out a feature allowing users to be able to send voice messages to their contacts.
A real desire on the part of the social network to improve this essential aspect of the application, perhaps to offer a Messenger bis, as we know it on Facebook?

NEW ON INSTAGRAM: ACTIVITY STATUS & GIFS

As we know, Instagram is currently one of the most popular social media channels worldwide. The platform is even a new trend in baby names. More and more parents are naming their newborn child after an Instagram filter. However, Instagram wants to be a platform where people can share photos and moments, but also chat with each other via DMs (direct message). Whether we like it or not, Instagram goes after Whatsapp and Telegram with a new feature in the app: activity status.

NEW ON INSTAGRAM: ACTIVITY STATUS & GIFS

WHAT IS 'ACTIVITY STATUS'?
As you can see on Whatsapp when someone has been online, you can now also see the activity status of a person on Instagram. For example, you can bombard your friend with questions about why he or she did not like your photo of the sunset with your duckface. Is this a useful tool or not? Opinions are divided on this. The role as an FBI is getting easier "are you still watching your ex on Instagram? "But your friends can also see everything on your account. The choice is yours; it is possible to disable this activity status. But…. note, once you choose this, you will no longer be able to see the status of other persons.

HOW DO YOU DO THIS?
You have to go through three steps to disable your activity status.
Step 1: Go to your profile and click on the gear at the top right. Then the options will appear on your screen as shown below.
Step 2: You scroll down until you see the last three options.
Step 3: Uncheck 'Show activity status' as you see with the arrow.

From now on you will go through life again as an 'incognito Instagrammer'.
In addition to this new tool, you can now also place GIFs on your story on Instagram. Stories have been part of Instagram for a year and a half. You can read more about Stories on Instagram in this blog.
Gif stands for Graphic Interchanges Format and is almost as old as the internet itself. For us, they are 'pictures that can move'. But how exactly does this work on Instagram?

HOW DO YOU PLACE A GIF ON YOUR STORY?
You make a video or a photo and put it on your story on Instagram. You do this by swiping left in the main Instagram menu. Then click on the sticker icon at the top right and there you can see the Gif option in the overview. You will then receive an extensive overview of all the moving pictures that you can place on your photo or film. There is also a search function so that you do not have to search for a long matching GIF. Just like the regular sticker on Instagram, you can also scale GIFs and pin them to something in a video.

Haven't you discovered this new feature on Instagram yet? Then don't worry! The feature is currently being rolled out gradually to all Instagram users.

5 reasons why you lose Instagram followers

Why do I lose Instagram followers? Why is my number of subscribers decreasing?
This may indeed seem worrying because the logical meaning in the animation of an account on the social network is to constantly gain Instagram followers. After all, you should improve as your Instagram presence increases.
However, this is by no means inevitable, and it is important in this context to understand what can be the different reasons why you lose subscribers on your account.

Throughout this article, I will give you concrete causes that can have an impact on the size of your community, and we will see that in some cases you are responsible, but in other cases, external factors can weigh on your meter.

1) You post too often

This first reason is often underestimated by many Instagram users, especially businesses. It may seem relevant from a business point of view to say "The more we post, the more we are visible to our subscribers", which is true, but watch out for backlash!
People who have chosen to follow your account are ready to receive a certain amount of content from you, but will not necessarily be happy to "see only you" in their news feed.
Posting too often is therefore dangerous for two main reasons:
  • you can tire your subscribers who will interact less, and this will penalize you in the Instagram algorithm
  • you can unsubscribe your subscribers who will unsubscribe from your account
Even if some influencers or brands may have a high frequency of publication, it is because they can produce high-quality content with each publication, which is not necessarily the case for you.

2) You post low-quality content

This second reason inevitably happens when you post too frequently on Instagram.
But not only that: your Instagram presence must bring real added value to those who follow you, and certain brand or person accounts may publish photos & videos that arouse no emotions among subscribers.
To overcome this second point, here are some reasons why Instagram users subscribe to accounts:
  • they want to discover new places, new recipes, new clothing, new cosmetic trends
  • they want to be entertained
  • they want to have fun

3) Your editorial line goes in all directions

This is a common error when you do not define a real strategy for the animation of your Instagram account.
In fact, in this case, the content is sometimes fed from day to day, or when "we have something to say". And maybe you find yourself in this situation.
The concern is that visitors to your profile when subscribing to your account followed you for a specific reason. If for one reason or another, you start publishing photos taken with a phone one day, then a flyer created in Photoshop, then a video with no subtitles, you risk losing the interest of your subscribers.
It is important to think beforehand about a form of standardization of your Instagram account, so as not to "shock" the people following you, and give them "what they came looking for".

4) Some of your subscribers have questionable practices

In this case, you need not worry about losing subscribers: it is a very common practice (but which I do not recommend) to subscribe to tens, hundreds or even thousands of accounts on a very short period, then unsubscribe from accounts that have not followed up in return.
This practice is called Mass-Follow, and when it is detected by Instagram, the platform severely punishes the owner of the account for breach of the general conditions of use of the social network.
You can detect them quite easily: these are often accounts from other countries than yours, or people who do not correspond to your target marketing heart.

5) The Instagram algorithm cleans up your subscribers

To determine the publications appearing in your news feed, Instagram has developed a computer program that sorts the content disseminated by the accounts, you follow and display only a part of them.
It is also able to identify accounts with dubious practices, and coming from “farms” of Instagram users, that is to say, created in mass, with biographies filled in automatically and almost no photo published.
The last big household of Instagram followers arrived in February 2019, which, depending on the size of the accounting community led to a drop in the number of subscribers up to millions for the most popular users.
We do not know when the next will be but be calm in this case, it is not your fault, it is a normal procedure regularly implemented by Instagram, to sanitize and give more credibility to the numbers of Instagram followers displayed on the profiles.

How do I know who unsubscribed from my Instagram account?

Would you like to know which people & brands have decided to stop following your Instagram account?
This information is not available on the social network but provided through additional applications.
But beware: it can slightly erode your morale if you see that one of your friends has loosely unsubscribed from your account.
